Job description

Are you someone who brings high energy, loves connecting with people, and knows how to turn everyday moments into great content? As our Social Media and Engagement Lead, you won't just be behind a screen-you'll be out in the sun, interacting with families, capturing smiles, and telling the vibrant story of life at the orchard.
You will be responsible for creating and capturing content for Hidden Valley across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, driving community engagement, taking photos across our orchard, with our animals, of our food and special experiences, creating short-form video content, and serving as a welcoming digital ambassador for our farm.
This is job is an on-site, hourly role. Our ideal candidate will lead social media content creation and client interaction. Our social media lead will also play other roles at the orchard in our country store and cidery including sampling, tours, and working with farm gatherings. During non-peak times, the team member will help with our retail operations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Content Creation & Storytelling: Plan, shoot, and post high-quality, engaging visual content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, and photos) that showcases orchard events, seasonal treats, U-pick updates, and behind-the-scenes farm life.
  • Social Media Interaction: Work with our General Manager and Head of Marketing to ensure our presence on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, is engaging for our guests and attracts a larger audience.
  • On-Ground Hospitality & Engagement: Interact directly with guests, families, and young children at the orchard to capture authentic, joyous moments and build a warm, welcoming environment.
  • Event Promotion: Partner with farm leadership to hype up seasonal highlights, farm festivals, weekend activities, and retail shop products.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Social Media Expertise: Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook (including native tools, trends, analytics, and editing within the apps or tools like CapCut/Canva).
  • People-First Energy: Warm, approachable, and enthusiastic. You genuinely love hospitality and feel natural interacting with guests, parents, and kids.
  • Storytelling Instincts: A strong eye for visual aesthetics, lighting, and narrative-you know how to make a crisp autumn day or a fresh apple pie look irresistible.
  • Self-Starter Attitude: Comfortable moving around the orchard independently, taking initiative to find compelling stories and content opportunities.
  • Ohio Local Pride: A deep appreciation for Ohio agriculture, local traditions, and agritourism.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Active, outdoor environment: Expect to spend significant time walking the orchard grounds in various weather conditions during peak season.
  • Weekend availability is required during peak season (August through early November).
