Job description

We're looking for entrepreneurial minded people to manage and operate a Scream Truck! We provide the infrastructure and the truck, you become your own boss (a "Scream Truck Pro"), managing the daily operations of a state-of-the art, tech forward food truck. If you've been looking to start and operate your own business, but don't want to take on the risk, this role is for you! Minimum earning potential is $60,000/year, but we offer multiple commission and rev share opportunities to reach $80,000+/year. This opportunity is not easy, but it is REALLY fun and rewarding! The Scream Truck Pro is responsible for managing all daily operations for a single truck. This includes prepping the truck (cleaning and stocking), preparing premium, aesthetically pleasing ice cream treats, and delivering the Scream Truck experience to excited customers. You will also be responsible for reviewing and meeting revenue goals, training and supervising other operators ("co-ops") for your truck, following strict food safety and driver safety standards,
A "Scream Truck Pro" is the customer facing leader of the brand and must ensure exceptional service standards are consistently met.
SCHEDULE
  • Five (5) days per week (typically, but not limited to Wednesday-Sunday) year-round operating a Scream Truck vehicle
  • Typical operating hours are 1:00PM-10:00PM, but can vary based on the season or day of the week
  • One FULL weekend off per month between May and August
  • One weekend day off per month OR one FULL weekend off every other month between September April
COMPENSATION
+ Annual base salary of $60,000 paid weekly ($48,000 base + $12,000 guaranteed gratuity)
+ 10%-15% commission on events you sell to new clients anywhere in our service area
+ Very achievable 10% rev share bonus for all revenue earned above your annual revenue goal

RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Service customers via reserved routes, private events, “pop-up” events, corporate events, and community events within the assigned territory
  • Stocking and cleaning the truck for each day’s operations
  • Training and evaluating full and part-time “Co-Op(s)” that will assist the Scream Truck Pro complete all duties
  • Regular meeting with Regional Manager to set a monthly operating schedule and review revenue goals
  • Weekly deep clean of your ice cream machine to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitoring weather conditions to ensure the truck operates on the most opportune days
  • Alongside the Regional Manager, managing truck and equipment repairs & maintenance
  • Review monthly financial information such as sales and costs versus budget
  • Document and discuss current co-op staff performance and staffing needs or changes.
  • Expectation to work some holidays (Closed Thanksgiving + Christmas Day)
  • Executing special routes or event experiences (Santa on the truck, Free Scream for Mom on Mother's Day, New Year's Eve events, etc.)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Squeaky clean driving record and ability to safely drive a large vehicle (think UPS or FEDEX truck). NO CDL required, we train you!
  • Over 21 years of age (due to driving/insurance restrictions)
  • Upbeat, friendly, and outgoing personality, eager to happily serve customers
  • Available to work with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Strong work ethic with a “CAN-DO” attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Tech savvy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Food service experience
  • Comfortable driving a truck or large vehicle
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to alternate between sitting and standing frequently during shift
  • Ability to travel through a cabin of approximately 2.5 feet wide efficiently
  • Ability to operate equipment such as an ice cream machine, shake blender and point of sale
  • Ability to reach above head for items on shelves
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25lbs
