Summary:

We are looking for a self-motivated and professional Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse department. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations, and documenting damage to inventory.

If you are a hardworking individual who can complete tasks successfully with little to no supervision, then we are interested in you. In this position, you will be responsible for picking & shipping orders, documenting orders, and storing merchandise. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, our ideal candidate must be able to lift up to 75lbs on a continuous basis. You will also possess in-depth knowledge of various warehouse machinery and equipment such as pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and forklifts. 

Location: 6705 S 209th St., Kent, WA 98032

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with occasional overtime.

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and process product orders based on shipping backlog
  • Keep files of goods shipped by preparing regular shipping reports for managers
  • Utilize RF scanner to transfer materials from location to location
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
  • Trouble shoots shipping issues and work to solve them
  • Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods 
  • Keep warehouse and workstations clean and neat
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification. 
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics roles
  • Experience with freight carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL freight)
  • Previous forklift experience/training 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, goals and objectives for self.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
  • Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, inventory systems)
  • Familiar with shipping software and ERP systems
  • Ability to prepare shipping documents (packing slips, bills of lading, invoices)
  • Knowledge of domestic and or international shipping procedures
