Job description

The Cabin Appearance Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the operations of the cabin appearance team, ensuring the efficient and safe completion of all assigned tasks. This supervisory position is responsible for managing both full-time and part-time employees, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all ground support equipment is operating at optimal levels. The Cabin Appearance Supervisor ensures that all cabin cleaning and related services are performed to the highest standards, while also ensuring adherence to safety protocols, on-time schedules, and effective resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervisory Leadership:

    • Establish shift assignments for both full-time and part-time employees, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient operations at all times.

    • Ensure that crews are properly briefed prior to each flight, including assignment of positions and a clear understanding of flight operations and procedures.

    • Monitor and supervise the daily activities of the cabin appearance team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

    • Ensure that employees follow company policies and safety protocols, taking appropriate corrective actions when necessary.

    • Ensure that all disciplinary procedures are conducted fairly, consistently, and in a timely manner.

    • Ensure that services provided align with the carrier’s schedule and requirements, working proactively to meet or exceed performance standards.

    • Report any discrepancies, whether functional or mechanical, related to ground support equipment to ensure that issues are addressed promptly.

  • Aircraft Cleaning and Cabin Preparation:

    • Perform cosmetic arrangements of seat belts, headrests, and other cabin features.

    • Clean and prepare aircraft interiors, including seats, seat pockets, floors, galleys, and lavatories, ensuring all areas meet high cleanliness standards.

    • Conduct thorough cleaning and servicing of the cabin, cockpit, galleys, and lavatories to maintain a pristine environment for passengers and crew.

    • Ensure all surfaces are free from dirt, debris, marks, fingerprints, and other imperfections.

  • Aircraft Stocking:

    • Replenish onboard supplies and amenities in the cabin and baggage compartments, ensuring accurate placement and correct quantity as per specifications.

    • Monitor and manage the aircraft's stock levels, ensuring that all necessary items are properly stocked before departure.

  • Commissary Locker Management:

    • Accept and verify incoming deliveries to the commissary locker, including packages from FedEx, UPS, and other couriers.

    • Accurately record and document all incoming shipments in the inventory management system.

    • Physically stock items within the commissary locker, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment.

    • Maintain inventory levels and ensure all supplies are readily available for aircraft stocking and other operations.

  • Additional Duties:

    • Prepare sleep experience kits and other necessary kits as required.

    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and airline regulations.

    • Follow company policies and procedures at all times.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Computer Skills: Minimum of 6 months of experience with computers, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Electronic Device Proficiency: Ability to navigate and operate various electronic devices such as computers, fax machines, printers, and time clocks.

  • Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in supervising and managing a business unit or team.

  • Operational Planning & Resource Management: Experience in operational planning, resource allocation, and optimizing team performance.

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Information Processing: Ability to process and respond to information quickly and accurately.

  • Driver's License: Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

  • Basic Computer Literacy: Ability to use computers and other basic office technology.

  • Experience: Previous ramp or airline experience preferred.

  • Training & Certification: Must successfully complete all required training and maintain necessary certifications throughout employment.

  • Background Check: Must pass an FBI fingerprint background check.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical Fitness: Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods.

  • Lifting Ability: Capable of repetitively lifting up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.

  • Outdoor Work: Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and exposure to loud noises.

  • Job-Related Physical Demands: Must be physically fit to perform job duties, including standing for long periods and handling equipment.

Working Hours:

  • Shift Flexibility: Must be available to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and other shifts as required.

  • Extended Hours: Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
