Job description

PRN CRNA Position • $175/Hour • No Call 

 LifeLinc Anesthesia is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Piedmont Eye Center in Atlanta, Georgia. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, cost-effective anesthesia care in an autonomous yet highly collaborative outpatient environment, allowing you to practice at the top of your license within a forward-thinking, patient-centered team.  In addition to routine clinical duties, the CRNA will support and lead quality initiatives—working proactively with the surgical team, medical staff, and facility leadership to promote consistent, high-quality, cost-effective anesthetic care throughout the center.

About the Facility:  Located in Atlanta, Georgia, The Piedmont Eye Center is a premier ophthalmic surgery center specializing in advanced eye and vision procedures. The center performs a high volume of cataract, retina, and cornea surgeries in a streamlined, patient-focused outpatient environment.  With modern technology, efficient workflows, and a collaborative surgical team, CRNAs enjoy a predictable 32-hour workweek, strong surgeon relationships, and the opportunity to practice at the top of their skill set in a supportive, high-quality clinical setting.

Schedule: 

Monday through Friday, 7AM to 3PM as needed.

 
Benefits: Benefits are available for employees working 30 hours or more per week.  This position is not benefits eligible

Administrative Duties: 

  • The CRNA must function as a collaborator and team member to accomplish applicable goals and functions ofLifeLinc.
  • Develop standards for continuity of care and case management.
  • Remains cognizant of rules and regulation as they pertain to the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and remains compliant at a local, state, and federal level.

 

Clinical Duties: 

The CRNA scope of practice includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

  • Performing and timely and accurately documentingapre-anesthetic assessmentsand patientevaluations, including requesting consultations and diagnostic studies; selecting, obtaining, ordering, or administering pre-anesthetic medications and fluids; and obtaining informed consent for anesthesia.
  • Theday-to-dayresponsibility of the CRNA for this position will be toprovide professional anesthesiaservices to patients in accordance with the standard of care and state and federal laws and may include any of all of the following:
  • Managing a patient's airway.
  • Managing emergence and recovery from anesthesia.
  • Releasing or discharging patients from a post-anesthesia care area, and providing post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care related to anesthesia side effects or complications.
  • Responding to emergency situations by providing airway management, administration of emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.
  • Additional nurse anesthesia responsibilities which are within the expertise of the individual CRNA.

Communication: 

  • Attends meetings as needed
  • Works with peers to obtain required information on a timely basis and to solve outstanding issues, as appropriate.

Promotes and contributes positively to the teamwork of the department by assisting coworkers, contributing ideas and problem-solving with co-workers.


Education and experience equivalent to:

The Nurse Anesthetist shall be a Graduate of an approved school of nursing and a graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor. The CRNA will have successfully completed the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Council on Certification or its predecessor's.
