Job Summary

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) administers and provides anesthesia-related care to patients before, during, and after surgery. The role works in a medical supervision model and requires flexibility to work with various medical practitioners; act as a liaison between the patient and their leading care provider. CRNA plays a crucial role in providing all parties with a full understanding of how a procedure needs to be approached to ensure maximum safety and comfort for each patient.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule: Choose from 8 or 10 hour shifts. Surgeries start at 7:00am. No evenings, no weekends, no Holidays, no on-call

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing or relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Current and valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current and valid NYS Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification.
  • 2+ years experience anesthesia care in an acute setting experience preferred.
  • National Provider Identified (NPI) and Taxonomy code required at time of hire.

Physical Demands

  • Manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to provide patient care and operate equipment.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal range to observe and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
  • Position requires full range of body motion including ability to position and move patients.
  • Extensive standing and walking.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying carry items weighing 10 pounds or more.
  • Occasional exertion of 25lbs or more of force.
  • Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards/physical risk.
