Job description

The Armed Protection Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for restaurant guests, employees, vendors, and property. This position serves as a visible deterrent to criminal activity while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The Armed Protection Specialist will monitor activities, enforce property rules, respond to incidents, and assist in maintaining order during business operations.


Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct armed security patrols of assigned properties and facilities.
  • Monitor and protect client assets, personnel, and visitors.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other criminal activities.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
  • Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities.
  • Enforce client policies, site procedures, and security protocols.
  • Control access to facilities by verifying identification, credentials, and visitor authorization.
  • Assist with emergency evacuations, medical emergencies, and crisis situations.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Maintain radio communication and remain alert throughout the assigned shift.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional interactions with clients, visitors, and employees.
  • Safeguard confidential and sensitive information.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Active Maryland Security Guard Certification.
  • Active Maryland Wear and Carry Permit.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior armed security, military, law enforcement, or executive protection experience.
  • Experience working in faith-based organizations, schools, community centers, or places of worship.
  • Training in threat assessment, active shooter response, and emergency management.
  • Familiarity with access control systems and surveillance equipment.

Pay Rate:$26.00 per hour
