THE JOB:
As a Floral Assistant, you will be working with flowers, creating beautiful spaces, and being part of a fast-paced, creative team. You'll learn from talented designers, and help transform events and spaces into unforgettable experiences. This is a hands-on, growth-focused role where you'll support our Floral Designers in every stage of production-from prep to installation-while learning professional design techniques and floral mechanics along the way.
THE STARTING RATE: $21.00/Hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Design and create small pieces with Floral Designers
  • Develop floral mechanics, design and event budgeting skills; follow design specifications to create decor for various events
  • Stay current in design trends, floral techniques and vendor products
  • Utilize the Event Image site and floral inventory
  • Assist with production of all event's floral décor, participate in receiving and processing of floral product; gather, count, and divide product according to floral recipes; prepare floral containers and props, and floral carts for refrigeration and delivery; sort, organize, clean and restock supplies and report any breakage/loss or variance in vase inventory
  • Perform floral-related event set-up and tear down tasks
  • Lead crews for installation and tear down for selected events
  • Complete all required paperwork, monitor for accuracy and consistency

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Has a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must 21 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of Prior relevant experience in the floral industry in some capcity
