Job description

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is a non-profit corporation that provides culturally sensitive health care to the American Indian population. OKCIC services include not only basic medical care but also dental, optometry, behavioral health, fitness, nutrition, and other family programs.

Our mission is to provide excellent healthcare to American Indians. We do this by putting people first, providing quality services, and maintaining our Integrity and Professionalism.

We are looking to add compassionate team players to our growing team as we continue to work toward our goal of becoming the national model for American Indian Health Care.

The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is implementing Epic, and we're looking for an experienced Epic Data Integrity Analyst to help build and support the technology that protects the integrity of our electronic health record.

In this role, you'll collaborate with Health Information Management (HIM), clinical departments, operational leaders, and technical teams to manage patient identity, document management, external health information exchange, record integrity, and data governance. Your work will directly support patient safety, privacy, regulatory compliance, and the reliability of healthcare information across the organization.

If you're passionate about healthcare technology, data quality, interoperability, and protecting patient information, we'd love to hear from you.

Applicants claiming Indian Preference must complete the full application and must provide documentation verifying eligibility (such as a tribal enrollment card or Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB)).

Requirements:

  • Configure the HIM Release of Information (ROI), the Gallery Document Management System tracking, and the chart deficiency components
  • Manage the Epic Identity lifecycle module to perform patient merging, resolve duplicate records, and oversee role-based access audits
  • Set up and maintain Care Everywhere external health information exchange (HIE) settings and data-sharing agreements
  • Build configuration profiles for EpicCare Link to ensure secure external provider access to clinic patient data
  • Ensure all database configurations adhere strictly to HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and internal clinic security protocols

The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is a nonprofit organization, not a federal employer. Indian preference hiring laws apply. The Clinic is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer. The Clinic adheres to all applicable laws prohibiting discrimination in employment, including protections based on race, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, religion, veteran status, and other characteristics as required by federal, state, or local law.

  • Must align with OKCIC vision, mission, and core values
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related healthcare, clinical, or technical field required. An equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience may be substituted, with one (1) year of additional relevant experience accepted in lieu of each year of required education.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience supporting healthcare information technology, electronic health records (EHR), Health Information Management (HIM), data integrity, interoperability, or enterprise healthcare applications required.
  • Candidates must successfully pass the Epic Sphinx Assessment as part of the interview and selection process to be eligible for employment in this position.
  • Experience configuring, implementing, testing, supporting, or optimizing Epic Identity, Care Everywhere, EpicCare Link, Release of Information (ROI), document management, or other health information management applications strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting patient identity management, duplicate record resolution, chart correction, document imaging, health information exchange (HIE), interoperability, role-based security, release of information, or healthcare data governance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Health Information Management principles, Master Patient Index (MPI) management, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, interoperability standards, healthcare privacy regulations, information governance, and healthcare technology best practices preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze clinical and operational workflows, translate business requirements into technical solutions, troubleshoot application and interface issues, and optimize system performance while maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and security of healthcare information.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with Health Information Management, Compliance, Privacy, Clinical Operations, Information Technology, and technical stakeholders.
  • Epic certification, accreditation, or proficiency in Identity, Care Everywhere, EpicCare Link, Release of Information (ROI), or other assigned Epic applications preferred.
  • Certification may be required based on the assigned application or role responsibilities.
  • Professional certifications such as Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS), or equivalent Health Information Management or healthcare privacy credentials are preferred but not required.
  • Other clinical, technical, or professional certifications may be required based on assigned responsibilities.
  • Must maintain all required certifications, credentials, and continuing education applicable to the position throughout employment.
