Job Overview

Welder I performs welding operations on a standard and repetitive line of elements and structures following prescribed procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Basic welding skills, typically focused on simpler welding processes. Ability to perform basic welds on straightforward joints and materials. Basic understanding of welding safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) use. Familiarity with reading and interpreting simple blueprints or welding symbols. Basic attention to detail to ensure welds meet basic quality standards.

  • Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).

  • Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
