Job description

We are seeking a Process Engineer to provide hands-on engineering support across all plant operations. This role focuses on improving manufacturing processes, supporting maintenance and quality functions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Process Engineer will spend time on the shop floor, proactively identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and process stability—rather than reacting to issues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support across all plant operations
  • Identify process improvement opportunities proactively and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Spend approximately 80% of time on the shop floor supporting production
  • Support night and weekend shifts as needed through flexible scheduling
  • Implement improvements that impact hourly performance metrics
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions; support training for production personnel
  • Analyze and challenge cycle times and production rates to improve productivity
  • Identify, monitor, and improve key process indicators for stainless-steel tubing production
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Solve manufacturing problems using DMAIC problem-solving strategies
  • Support process modifications, revisions, deviations, and improvement projects
  • Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to ensure stable and capable processes

Qualifications – Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Engineering background preferred in welding, metal fabrication, or related manufacturing processes
  • Minimum of three years of related manufacturing engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and testing technologies, specifically metal forming and welding
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems; Minitab experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, and Control Plans
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Highly accountable and results-oriented
