Job description

Amentumis seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join our teamin Hawthorne, Nevadato support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Electrical Supervisor provides leadership, oversight and technical direction for electrical maintenance, installation and repair operations.This role is responsible for supervising electricians, electronics technicians and calibration personnel to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of electrical systems and infrstructure.The Electrical Supervisor drives compliance with company standards, electrical codes, environmental requirements and safety regulations while ensuring operational readiness, workforce accountability and high-quality workmanship.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate and oversee electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities for facility systems and equipment.

  • Supervise, mentor, train and evaluate electricians, electronics technicians and technical personnel to ensure workforce effectiveness and professional development.

  • Plan, prioritize, assign and monitor daily and long-range maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency and mission success.

  • Ensure strict compliance with electrical codes, OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, company policies and best practices.

  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on electrical work to verify work performance, safety compliance and system reliability.

  • Troubleshooting electrical issues and providing technical solutions.

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

  • Coordinating with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution of projects and maintenance activies.

  • Diagnose electrical and equipment malfunctions and actions to minimize downtime and operational impact.

  • Managing labor, scheduling, resource allocation and project timelines to meet operational objectives and budget requirements.

  • Execute and enforce preventative and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring work orders, inspections and scheduled maintenance activities are completed and on time.

  • Oversee operations across a variety of environments, including construction sites, industrial facilities, industrial facilities, commercial properties and residential projects.

  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed and equipment used.

  • Providing training on safe work practices and technical procedures.

  • Utilize CMMS software to develop work schedules, assing work orders, track maintenance activities and maintain accurate documentation..

  • Oversee and maintain accurate timekeeping of labor hours and scheduling, including approving timesheets.

  • Provide technical and safety training to enhance a employee knowledge, technical proficiency and hazard awareness with emphasis on mentoring less experienced personnel.

  • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.

  • Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.

  • Reads and understands Task Hazard Analysis for identifying risks to health and safety during job specific tasks in the work place.

  • Respond to operational emergencies and may be required to work extended hours, weekends or on-call assignments to support mission or operational requirements.

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, attendance, accountability and performance.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of organizational objectives.

  • Responsible for reporting potential real environmental concerns to the Environmental Service.

  • Follow Safety Data Sheet guidelines for handling, storage, and disposal of Hazardous Materials.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Proven experience as an electrician, with hands-on knowledge of industrial, commercial or residential electrical systems.

  • Familiarity with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

  • Have a thorough understanding of equipment operation and maintenance requirements.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage diverse teams.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, make strategic decisions, and work under pressure.

  • Good writing and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be willing to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts.

  • Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner and perform safety sensitive duties.

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain all certifications required by Amentum's Master Training Plan.

  • Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any HWAD drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement.

  • Must have a valid Driver's License and pass an MVR check with a clean record.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain clearance through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and be favorably vetted through the NCIC III System.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational background including a 4-year degree or trade school certifications in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field is perfrerred.Certified technical or trade school training, preferred.

  • Certification or licenses may include CPR, Arch Flash, Confined Space, OSHA 30, preferred.

SAFETY SENSITIVE

This position is designated as a safety sensitive position and is subject to the requirements of the HWAD Medical Surveillance Plan and Matrix and the HWAD A&D Program.As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, drug testing, medical exam, and respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by 29 CFR and Army Regulations: AR 190-11, AR 190-13 and DOD Contractors Safety Manual 4145.26.

Compensation Details:

$77,000 - $96,000
