Job description

Our client is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction efforts on complex industrial, utility, and renewable energy projects. This role focuses on developing accurate cost estimates, coordinating with operations teams, and supporting competitive bid submissions for large-scale electrical work.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project plans, specifications, and scope requirements
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing
  • Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and leadership during the bidding process
  • Evaluate project scope, risks, and constructability to ensure accurate and competitive bids
  • Support bid reviews and assist with project handoff to operations teams

Requirements

  • Experience estimating electrical construction projects in industrial, utility, or large-scale commercial environments
  • Proven experience with medium to high voltage electrical systems (not low voltage or residential)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
  • Experience working with union labor or within industrial electrical environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of labor production, material takeoffs, and project cost structure
