Position Summary: The Electrical Foreman will participate and oversee the installation or maintenance and inspection of large electrical projects, systems and supervise team members including sub‑contractors.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites
  • Act as a team leader in the execution of electrical work
  • Oversee and audit site safety and quality control programs
  • Oversee and coordinate any sub‑contractors work that may be working under the electrical division
  • Coordinate field trade activities in accordance with the project schedule and help with developing the three‑weeks look‑ahead coordination schedules with all appropriate project team participants
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors
  • Ensure field installation compliance with all technical specifications, approved shop drawings & submittals
  • Coordinate equipment and specialty material deliveries and staging requirements
  • Supervise and participate in the installations of power, lighting, fire alarm, security, instrumentation and controls, UPS, generator and other related systems
  • Additional duties as directed by management
Qualifications

Essential Skills & Characteristics:

  • Ability to work independently and lead a team of trade employees and apprentices
  • Follow plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers
  • Strict adherence to all co‑workers and clients in an attentive courteous manner
  • At times may perform clerical/administrative duties
  • Participate in site housekeeping
  • Assist, and coordinate with scheduled shutdowns, support associated on‑site operational requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, plans or specifications for work details or procedures
  • Good documentation and record keeping; attention to detail and quality

Educational & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or relevant work experience
  • 10 years of field experience, journeyman, working leader
  • Applicable state trade license
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Knowledge of standard operations procedures (SOPs)
  • Competency in permit‑required confined space
  • Understanding and development of daily job hazard analysis (JHA)
  • Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in industrial construction preferred
