Position Summary
The 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician III position performs a variety of maintenance activities within the office and manufacturing environment as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring Sponsorship
  • Must be available to work 3rd Shift on-site daily in Hobart, Indiana including weekends/OT (9:00pm-5:30am)
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, troubleshoot and repair machinery, and has hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication equipment, including lasers, press brakes, saws, and welding equipment.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16" accuracy and possess strong knowledge of electrical wiring and troubleshooting (110V-480V).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety are essential.

Pay Rate: $22.00-$30.00/hour
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Performs repairs in accordance with Safety and OSHA. (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements
  • Accurately complete and document work orders promptly in CMMS to maintain high-quality standards
  • Troubleshoots all electrical breakdowns and makes repairs
  • Installs new or purchased equipment
  • Supplies proper information for the acquisition of replacement parts
  • Troubleshoots and repairs stationary and mobile equipment
  • Trains and participates in the Emergency Evacuation Plan
  • Coordinates and schedules maintenance activities with department managers
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects
  • Coordinates and assists in inspections of critical building systems and environmental compliance
  • Calibrates testing instruments
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
  • Troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and AC/DC drive systems
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area, including maintenance shop
  • On call for emergency repairs in breakdown situations as necessary
  • Carries out all other dusties as assianed by Management

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education required
  • 2-year certification from a trade school and/or 5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
  • Knowledge of building systems
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication equipment, such as laser, press brake, saw, welding, and press
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring including high voltage (110V-480V)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of single and three phase electrical systems
  • Knowledge of electrical control systems
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems, including air compressors
  • Must be able to understand mechanical, piping, and electrical drawings
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
