Description - Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and intricate laboratory tests, including chemistry, hematology, and immunology, adhering to established procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy of test results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and carry out routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Assist in the collection of specimens and the preparation of samples for analysis when necessary.
- Meticulously document all processes, help in training newcomers or students, and contribute to maintaining lab standards of quality.
- Uphold a clean and safe workspace while complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or a related allied health field, plus completion of ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of employment.
- Maintain active certification throughout your tenure.
