As a Bus Driver, you will support residentsโ€™ health, independence, and well-being by providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation.   • Transporting residents to scheduled activities and assists residents when they are getting on or off the bus and when they cross the street when the bus is stopped to ensure their safetyย 
  • Observing the speed limit and road signsย 
  • Ensuring the maintenance of the bus such as filling the gas tank and windshield washer fluid, checking tire pressure, checking the oil and the cleanliness of the busย 
  • Maintaining the internal cleanliness of the busย 
  • Carrying out, if needed, all related tasks in order to ensure the continuity and the quality of the services.ย 
  • Performing other duties as assignedย 

What you need to know:ย 

  • High School Diploma or equivalentย 
  • Appropriate provincial driving permit for a busย 
  • Clean Drivers Abstractย 
  • 1-2 years of experience as a driverย 
  • Must have effective verbal and written English communication skillsย 
  • Experience in customer serviceย ย 
  • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permitย 
  • You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Checkย
