Job description

Galavant Spirits is a brand new distillery and cafe in the Morningside neighborhood of Detroit looking for our opening staff.


We are seeking candidates with food and drink service experience to join us in providing outstanding customer experiences and upholding high standards of food and beverage quality.  Candidates with a working knowledge of food, spirits, and cocktails preferred but we are willing to teach enthusiastic prospects.  Cross training between kitchen and FOH positions will be encouraged.


Cook Position:

  • Cook and assemble sandwiches, soups, salads, and sides for to go orders
  • Keep a high pace while maintaining order accuracy and allergen compliance
  • Expedite and assemble orders into to go packaging for counter server to pick up
  • Communicate with FOH about orders, ingredients, allergens
  • Some food prep including meat slicer - dedicated prep cook will prepare most sauces / etc
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen area


Qualifications:

  • Restaurant cooking experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment reading tickets and KDS
  • Some customer service experience preferred - open kitchen may have some customer interaction
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, lunch and dinner shifts available
