Schedule: Monday - Friday, Home Every Evening, No Weekends (Ideal for early risers to beat the competition to the drop-off locations)

We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and safety-conscious CDL Class A Truck Driver for local, Monday through Friday routes. This position is ideal for drivers who value consistent schedules and being home every evening. The driver will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of agricultural products within approximately a 150-mile radius of our facility. Due to the nature of our local operation and specific cargo, this role is exempt from electronic logging devices (ELDs) and traditional logging requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently, complying with all federal, state, and local traffic laws. (Hopper Bottom Trailers)
  • Transport agricultural products on local runs, staying within a 150-mile operational radius.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIRs) thoroughly and accurately.
  • Ensure cargo is properly secured before and during transit to prevent shifting or damage.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations personnel regarding route status, delays, and issues.
  • Maintain accurate paper logs regarding the load, weight, and fuel usage
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with light loading and unloading duties as needed (specific to product/operation).
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper working order of the vehicle.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum Age: Must be at least twenty-three (23) years of age.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable, recent commercial driving experience with a Class A CDL.
  • Licensure: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A.
  • Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT safety regulations and compliance.

Preferred:

  • Experience hauling agricultural or bulk commodities.
  • Familiarity with the local operating area.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Requires manual dexterity and coordination for operating the vehicle and handling paperwork.
