About Us

Hackbarth Delivery Service is a growing Transportation and Logistics company committed to providing reliable service and exceptional support to our customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Dispatcher to join our team and help coordinate transportation operations while delivering excellent customer service.

Position Overview

The Remote Dispatcher will serve as a key point of contact between customers, drivers, warehouse teams, and internal departments. This role is responsible for coordinating freight movement, managing customer requests, tracking shipments, maintaining documentation, generating reports, and ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, able to multitask, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Schedule

  • Saturday:6:00 AM - 2:00 PM must be on a computer
  • Saturday/Sunday:coverage from 2:00 PM Sat to 4:00 PM Sunday off computer with on-call phone.
  • Additional on-call hours may be available

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers by phone and email to provide updates, answer questions, and resolve concerns.
  • Coordinate and dispatch trucks and freight for pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain communication with drivers while they are en route and provide support when needed.
  • Monitor shipment status and provide accurate delivery information.
  • Process customer orders, provide pricing information, and assist with invoicing needs.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel regarding shipping and receiving activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, complaints, and resolutions.
  • Generate reports related to transportation activities, shipments, customer requests, and operational performance.
  • Manage transportation documents, shipping records, and related files.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound freight to support company operations.
  • Assist with emergency communication, driver support, and repair coordination when necessary.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, manufacturers, drivers, and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or associate degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience with dispatching, transportation, logistics, order entry, invoicing, or database management preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of transportation documents, inventory, and shipping processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and projects effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Edge.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing as part of a team.
