About the Role
Hello, Sign Language Interpreters! Ampersand Therapy is hiring Sign Language Interpreters for a school-based position in Montrose, CO for the 2026-2027 School Year. You'll support students by providing interpreting services in American Sign Language (ASL) throughout the school day. This role is ideal for either experienced school ASL interpreters or those new to the school setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on a student's educational experience while working alongside a collaborative and supportive school team.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide direct one-on-one interpretation in ASL for a student throughout the school day
  • Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff
  • Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom
  • Collaborate with the student's educational team

What We Are Looking For:
  • EIPA score of 4.0 or higher and passing the written performance test (EIPA scores of 3.5-3.9 may also be considered)
  • Fingerprinting required prior to start
  • School-based experience preferred but not required
