You'll also help with administrative tasks such as updating patient records and scheduling follow-ups. What is a weekend dental assistant?

A Weekend Dental Assistant is a dental professional who works primarily on weekends to assist dentists with patient care. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the weekend dental assistant position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Weekend Dental Assistant, you need a solid understanding of dental procedures, infection control, and patient care, usually obtained through completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience. Familiarity with dental radiography, chairside assisting, and dental practice management software (such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft) is typically required, and current CPR certification is often expected.
