Position Summary

The Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) is responsible for safely operating straight trucks or box trucks to deliver windows, doors, and related materials to residential and commercial job sites or directly to customers. This position requires hands-on unloading of freight, careful handling of fragile materials, and strong customer service skills.


This position is designated as Safety-Sensitive due to the operation of commercial vehicles and handling of heavy materials.

Compensation & Benefits (Minnesota Pay Transparency Compliant)


Hourly Pay Range: $18-$24 per hour

This pay range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of compensation for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and skills.

Overtime: Overtime paid at 1.5 times regular rate for hours worked over 40 in a workweek.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company straight trucks or box trucks (non-CDL)
  • Deliver windows, doors, and building materials to job sites and customer locations
  • Load and unload materials, including hand-unloading at job sites
  • Handle fragile products carefully to prevent damage
  • Secure loads properly using straps and load bars
  • Verify orders against packing slips and obtain customer signatures upon delivery
  • Communicate delivery updates with dispatch and customers
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle
  • Follow all applicable DOT and Company regulations for non-CDL drivers
  • Comply with company safety policies and job site safety requirements
  • Assist in warehouse loading, staging, and inventory support as needed

Safety-Sensitive Position Notice

This position is classified as Safety-Sensitive under Company policy and applicable state and federal regulations. Employees in this role:

  • Operate commercial motor vehicles
  • Perform duties that directly impact public and workplace safety
  • Are subject to pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and random drug and alcohol testing as permitted by law
  • Must comply with all DOT and Company safety standards at all times

Failure to comply with safety policies may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Schedule


  • Monday through Friday
  • 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Overtime required during busy season (Spring through Fall)

Routes: Up to 9-1-day routes, up to 15 stops pre route. The company would follow DOT guidelines for driving. A typical could be 10-12 hour days.

  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to safely unload large, heavy, and fragile window units
  • Frequent bending, twisting, and climbing in and out of truck
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions


Driver Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate driving
  • Valid driver's license (CDL not required)
  • Clean driving record (acceptable MVR)
  • Must pass a DOT medical exam and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Must pass required drug screenings. Dot random drug test.
  • Ability to operate a straight truck or box truck safely and efficiently
