The Crypto Data Science team is on a mission to accelerate Robinhood's position as the leading platform for crypto investors. We partner with product, engineering, finance, and research to shape the strategies behind our fastest-growing business. From launching new products to expanding internationally, our team turns complex data into clear decisions — and our work directly influences how millions of customers experience crypto at Robinhood.

As the Data Science Manager for the Crypto team, you will lead a high-impact team delivering insights, models, and strategies that shape Robinhood's crypto product roadmap and growth. This role partners with product, engineering, and executive leadership to ensure data is at the core of our strategic decisions. Learn more about what the crypto team is up to here .

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 5 days per week.

What you’ll do

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of data scientists and analytics engineers working across product and ML domains
  • Partner closely with Crypto product, engineering, finance, and research teams to drive key initiatives such as international expansion, pro trader growth, and Wallet app adoption
  • Deliver robust, data-driven recommendations and analyses to shape product direction, with a focus on stock tokens, perpetuals, and blockchain opportunities
  • Foster a culture of excellence in analytics, experimentation, and impact within your team
  • Represent Crypto Data Science in cross-functional leadership forums and contribute to overall Crypto org strategy

What you bring

  • 7+ years of experience in data science, including at least 2+ years of people management
  • Deep experience with Python and SQL in a production or analytics environment
  • Proven success in product data science roles, with a track record of delivering strategic insights and scalable solutions
  • Strong understanding of the crypto ecosystem, with 3–4 years of direct experience highly preferred
  • Executive presence, influence across teams, and outstanding communication skills

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$247,000 - $290,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$217,000 - $255,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)

$193,000 - $226,000 USD
