Job Title: Data Entry Operator - Intermediate

Location: Merrillville, IN 46410 (Hybrid)

Schedule: Onsite Tuesday-Thursday required; Remote Monday & Friday

Duration: 1-Year Contract

Rate: $20 - $23/hr (Non-Exempt)

Position Overview

The Data Entry Operator - Intermediate supports high-volume data entry and data maintenance activities across multiple systems while handling confidential and sensitive information. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and productivity in a structured, policy-driven environment. Candidates must be able to work onsite Tuesday through Thursday and follow a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate to advanced data entry, including alpha and numeric data input.

  • Support multiple data entry initiatives and data cleanup efforts across various systems.

  • Proof and validate work for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

  • Prioritize workloads through coding, sorting, and tracking activities.

  • Identify and correct errors through visual inspection and quality checks.

  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and tracking reports.

  • Generate reports based on entered and processed data.

  • Handle confidential and sensitive information in compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Make decisions and recommendations within established guidelines and authorized limits.

  • Provide guidance to other staff after developing strong proficiency in assigned tasks.

  • Perform basic mechanical adjustments, such as switching sets and changing control features.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.

  • 4-6 years of relevant data entry or administrative experience.

  • Ability to key a minimum of 10,000 keystrokes per hour.
