Job description

Duties: Under the direct supervision of the Member Services Coordinator, the Membership Sales Associate - RiverPlex, will be responsible for the following:

  • Greet and engage potential members, providing tours and highlighting facility amenities, equipment, and programs.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team membership sales goals.
  • Follow up on leads through phone calls, emails, Daxko Engage, and in-person interactions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of membership options, promotions, and pricing.
  • Assist with marketing efforts, including community outreach, and referral programs.
  • Ensure a clean, welcoming, and professional sales and tour experience.
  • Handle membership paperwork, payments, and account updates accurately.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to current and prospective members.
  • Support the team with additional administrative or operational facility tasks as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed. Support all aspects of the Park District's safety program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions: The work requires some physical exertion in handling supplies and materials relevant to programming. Prolonged standing, bending and stooping. Ability to understand and complete paperwork and record keeping in order to complete duties. Ability to operate computer, copy machine, scanner, etc. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Experience: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or fitness industry preferred.

Knowledge and Ability:

  • Enthusiastic, personable, and motivated by helping others reach their goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working toward sales targets and following up with leads.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills (experience with CRM or membership software a plus).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to be professional, respectful, accountable, innovative, to follow safety procedures, and be equitable to both internal and external customers.
