Job description

Role: Jr. IT Data Analyst

Location: Warren, MI

Duration: Long term

Rate: Market

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with big data in a cloud environment, particularly Azure and Databricks.
  • Hands-on expertise with Power BI (Power BI Pro preferred) and Cognos.
  • Proficient in writing advanced SQL for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide day-to-day technical and operational support for the Agile Development Team.
  • Assist with development issues and support resolution of blockers during daily stand-ups.
  • Optimize code performance using Spark SQL and Databricks in a cloud (Azure) environment.
  • Review BI products and validate data against requirements.
  • Ensure team follows Agile task management processes (status updates, descriptions, time tracking).
  • Promote team autonomy by encouraging collaborative problem-solving.

Business Collaboration & UAT

  • Participate in refinement sessions and help gather and clarify requirements from business stakeholders.
  • Support Product Managers, Scrum Leaders, and Architects with requirement documentation.
