Job description

As a Business Data Partner, you will help shape how Quantum Systems uses data to make decisions. Acting as the bridge between our business departments and the Data Platform team, you will work closely with stakeholders from Operations, Production, Engineering, Finance and Supply Chain to transform business challenges into trusted data products, strategic analytics and self‑service capabilities that enable better decision‑making across the company.

Your mission is to ensure that trusted data products are actively used across the organization while empowering departments to build their own reporting on top of a governed, company‑wide data platform.

What is your Day to Day Mission:Business Partnership & Requirements
  • Evaluate, prioritize and shape analytics initiatives together with business stakeholders, balancing business priorities, technical feasibility and platform strategy to determine whether they should become strategic dashboards, certified data products or department‑owned self‑service reports.
  • Become the primary interface between business departments and the Data Platform team.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business processes, enterprise systems and how operational data flows through the organization.
  • Identify opportunities where new data products or analytics can create measurable business value.
  • Gather, challenge and translate business requirements into scalable data products and reporting solutions.
  • Facilitate the definition and governance of company‑wide KPIs, business terminology and reporting standards together with business stakeholders.
Strategic Analytics & Data Products
  • Design, build and continuously improve strategic dashboards used across multiple business functions and executive management.
  • Own the business lifecycle of certified data products and shared semantic models.
  • Drive continuous improvement of company‑wide reporting through stakeholder feedback and changing business needs.
  • Maintain documentation for KPIs, reporting standards and certified data products.
Business Validation & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure company‑wide dashboards and business metrics remain accurate, trusted and aligned across departments.
  • Lead business validation for new dashboards, KPIs and data products before release.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
  • Investigate reporting discrepancies.
  • Support continuous improvement of data quality through close collaboration with business and technical teams.
Data Adoption & Analytics Enablement
  • Promote data literacy throughout the organization.
  • Coach business users in Power BI, self‑service analytics and data best practices.
  • Organize workshops, office hours and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
  • Help define best practices for self‑service analytics across the company.
  • Increase adoption of dashboards, certified datasets and data products.
  • Gather feedback from business users and continuously improve data products, dashboards and self‑service capabilities.
  • Evaluate new Power BI and Microsoft Fabric capabilities that improve business value.
What you bring to the team:
  • You have completed a degree/apprenticeship in Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics or a comparable field.
  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience in business analysis, business intelligence, process improvement or analytics consulting.
  • You enjoy working closely with business stakeholders and translating business challenges into analytical solutions.
  • You have experience defining KPIs, validating business logic and coordinating cross‑functional projects.
  • You have excellent facilitation and communication skills and are comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • You have experience working with Power BI or similar analytics platforms.
  • Basic understanding of SQL, data modeling, semantic models or Microsoft Fabric is an advantage but not required.
  • You are curious about technology and passionate about helping organizations become more data‑driven.
  • You are proactive, structured and enjoy taking ownership.
  • You are fully comfortable communicating in English and German.
