Data Analytics / Technical Documentation Analyst

Location: Fremont, CA

Duration: 1-Year Contract

Pay Rate: $46.42/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Analytics / Technical Documentation Analyst to support complex data analysis, technical documentation, business processes, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with complex datasets, organizing and analyzing information based on business requirements, and translating data and technical information into clear, easy-to-understand reports, documents, graphs, and dashboards.

This position requires a combination of data analytics, technical documentation, business analysis, PLM knowledge, and strong Microsoft Office skills. The successful candidate will work closely with subject-matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze information, develop documentation, and communicate findings effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, organize, and maintain complex datasets based on business and technical requirements.
  • Collect, validate, and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Develop reports, graphs, dashboards, and other data visualizations to communicate findings clearly.
  • Perform data mining, segmentation, and analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Translate analytical findings into concise, easy-to-understand presentations and reports.
  • Support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes, documentation, and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design procedures, test procedures, engineering standards, drafting standards, and business process documentation.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts, engineers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to collect requirements and technical inputs.
  • Translate complex technical terminology and processes into clear and simplified documentation.
  • Create and maintain documents using Microsoft Word styles, including numeric and bulleted indexing.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to organize, manipulate, analyze, and visualize data.
  • Create PivotTables, use VLOOKUP and other Excel functions, format data, and develop graphs.
  • Support reporting and presentation activities using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Use Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools to coordinate meetings and projects.
  • Support SharePoint sites by adding content, editing views, managing documents, and checking permissions.
  • Support SharePoint document archival and workflow management.
  • Collaborate on documents through SharePoint, OneDrive, and co-authoring tools.
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports when applicable.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to gather and analyze data when applicable.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of design reviews and other business meetings.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and accommodate last-minute changes while balancing competing priorities.
  • Provide basic PC and technical support for meeting room and design review setups.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Work independently while effectively communicating with stakeholders and team members.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to data, reporting, documentation, and business processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; advanced degree without experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience working with complex datasets and organizing information according to business requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) principles, processes, and methodologies.
  • Experience with technical documentation and business process documentation.
  • Ability to work with subject-matter experts to gather requirements and synthesize technical information.
  • Ability to translate complex technical content into clear, concise documentation.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong Microsoft Word formatting and document-style experience, including numeric and bulleted indexing.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, formatting, data analysis, and graphing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
