Job Summary:
SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Cybersecurity Engineer to support system engineering processes on submarine tactical systems. The role involves developing and verifying cybersecurity requirements, evaluating architectures for vulnerabilities, and planning cybersecurity measures to enhance defense and resilience.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Analysis of existing specifications, and/or the development of specifications for technical controls and security policies.
โ€ข Recommendation of cybersecurity requirements, architectures and practices for reviewed architectures.
โ€ข Planning cybersecurity measures to improve cyber-defense and maintain cyber-resilient networks.
โ€ข Developing methods to assess and verify that the systems under analysis are properly designed using the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800 series of special publications as well as applicable DoD requirements.
โ€ข Assessing identified cybersecurity vulnerabilities for exploitation risk and proposing remediation actions and/or risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or additional relevant system experience.
โ€ข Current certification applicable to Cybersecurity Workforce (a minimum of CompTIA Security+) is required on the date of hire.
โ€ข The certification must meet baseline eligibility at the DoD 8570.01M Information Assurance Manager, Level I (IAM-I) and/or DoD 8140 Intermediate/Journeyman in Specialty Area 72 or 74.
โ€ข Three or more years of relevant cybersecurity experience in Information Systems Security Management/Security Program Management.
โ€ข Recent experience with at least one system within the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) network.
โ€ข Recent experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), System Engineering, and/or Risk Management Framework (RMF) Authorization processes.
โ€ข Experience with DoD Cybersecurity, and Test & Evaluation processes.
โ€ข Understanding of the application of policy, process, and technical controls to mitigate cyber risks.
โ€ข As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.
