Job description

Job Title: Production Associate III – 1st Shift

Position Details

  • Pay Rate: $25–$30/hour
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1st Shift)
  • Assignment Length: 3-month contract

Job Summary

The Production Associate III operates machines and production equipment independently in a manufacturing environment, ensuring quality and productivity standards are met safely. This role may also provide guidance and informal coaching to team members.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

  • Stop work and report any major safety hazards immediately
  • Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards
  • Follow all HSE policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Identify and correct hazards within your control
  • Participate in HSE training and promote a team-oriented safety culture
  • Understand environmental impact and work to minimize it

Quality

  • Follow standard work instructions and quality procedures (SPC, poka-yoke, visual standards)
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure product specifications are met
  • Identify and control non-conforming materials
  • Escalate issues to reduce quality risks and costs

Production & Delivery

  • Operate machinery and equipment to manufacture and assemble products to required specifications
  • Meet production goals and cycle time standards
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas, including housekeeping and machine cleaning
  • Perform basic operator maintenance tasks
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with support teams
  • Remain flexible and perform additional duties as needed to meet production goals
  • Support and guide less experienced team members when needed

Teamwork

  • Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional support teams
  • Collaborate to improve safety, quality, processes, and efficiency
  • Participate in training and continuous development activities
