Job description


Position: Table Games Floor Supervisor
Department: Table Games
Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Table Games department Floor Supervisor/ Shift Manager and above. Supervises the operation of assigned table games. Ensures game integrity and guest satisfaction while implementing and complying with departmental standards as well as the Gaming Enterprise Division's (GED) internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility, include but are not limited to):
  • Provides leadership with all team members during shift, creating a "team" atmosphere.
  • Implements/ensures performance standards, policies and procedures relating to Table Games; ensures compliance with applicable gaming regulations.
  • Assists with physical count of bankroll at shift change to ensure accuracy, checks accuracy of bankrolls from previous shifts.
  • Observes games, players, and dealers to ensure accuracy and game protection.
  • Ensures that all games move at an appropriate pace.
  • Tracks players by performing such tasks as noting buy-ins, length of play, and average bet.
  • Promotes positive guest relations that enhance the gaming experience by performing tasks such as answering questions, resolving disputes, and issuing comps.
  • Exercises sound judgment in resolving complaints.
  • Serves as a communications liaison for departmental information.
  • Supervises and develops direct reports by mentoring, coaching, and providing performance feedback; works collaboratively with them to design professional development plans that support their continuous learning.
  • Develops the talents and skills of team members as measured by guest satisfaction, team member satisfaction, and successful team member advancement.
  • Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information; protects GED assets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential functions of the position:
  • Must be able to manage or feel objects, reach, pull, bend, or twist.
  • Must be able to read, write, and effectively communicate with all guests and team members in a positive and professional manner.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to tolerate high noise levels in the work environment, with flashing lights.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and maintain the appropriate posture while dealing.
  • Must be able to interact with excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
  • Must be able to travel to all associated properties.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of Table Games operations, such as pit accounting procedures and administrative tasks, such as fills, credits, and marker transactions as well as games.
  • Knowledge and understanding of departmental and GED internal controls, policies, and procedures as well as applicable gaming laws, ordinances, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups.
  • Ability to respond to internal and external inquiries or complaints ranging from guests to regulatory agency representatives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to provide leadership and develop team members.
  • Ability to follow directions effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret an extensive variety of documents, including technical instructions written in mathematical or diagram form, and work with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations pertaining to the position.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive information.
  • Knowledge and understanding of supervisory principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated track record of reliability, responsiveness, and initiative.
  • Demonstrated track record of providing excellent guest service.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of (1) year Supervisory and/or Dual Rate experience in Table Games.
  • Thorough knowledge of all current house procedures required.
  • If applicant possesses knowledge, training, and/or experience of Craps but not Roulette they must attend Roulette school and pass training within eight (8) weeks of start date.
  • If applicant possesses knowledge, training and/or experience of Roulette but not Craps they must attend Craps school and pass training within five (5) months of start date.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening in accordance with company policy.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to obtain, and retain a valid gaming license.

Preferred Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
