From the final stages of design through construction completion and resident move-in, you'll be the lead "go-to" interface, ensuring seamless coordination of costs, contracts, scheduling, and execution from rendering to reality!

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Planning, Building Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Sciences, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architecture, building engineering, construction sciences, or real estate development.
  • At least 3 years of project team management experience.
  • Experience in construction techniques for commercial and residential construction.
  • Proficiency in managing construction costs and schedules.
  • Familiarity with architectural, construction, engineering, and other professional service contracts.
  • Experience creating and implementing design and construction project-based budgets and forecasts.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Bluebeam PDF editing software, Microsoft Project, and Procore.
Business Skills
  • Excellent written, graphic, and verbal presentation skills.
  • Understanding of architectural design and construction documentation processes.
  • Knowledge of municipal approval and permitting processes.

Requirements
Construction Oversight & Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during construction, move-in, and operational transition.
  • Manage and monitor project schedule, budget, and scope from permit phase through completion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout construction.
  • Lead and participate in project design review meetings and contractor coordination.
  • Oversee general contractor negotiations, contract exhibits, and construction execution.
  • Handle local utility contracts, relocations, and entitlements as required.
  • Maintain construction standards, timelines, and documentation across all phases.
  • Work closely with leasing and marketing to ensure seamless project transition.
  • Travel to project sites in major U.S. cities will be required as needed to support project objectives; however, the position is based in our Austin office and maintains a permanent seat there.
Owner-Provided Scope & Procurement
  • Lead bid processes and negotiate contracts for owner-provided items (e.g., signage, FF&E, testing).
  • Support FF&E procurement, finishes implementation, and low-voltage design/build.
  • Collaborate with the design studio to align on material selection and visual standards.
Project Management & Reporting
  • Monitor project milestones, risk mitigation plans, and KPI-driven success metrics.
  • Develop and manage project schedules and status reports for stakeholders and the executive team.
  • Prepare monthly site visit reports, lender documentation, and pay applications.
  • Track budgets, expenditures, and documentation, ensuring transparency and compliance.
  • Manage zoning, stormwater, and all regulatory issues for project delivery.
Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Partner with the investment team on budgets, contracts, and closings.
  • Maintain efficient communication plans and workflows between departments.
  • Support feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and preconstruction activities.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors for project alignment.
Other
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Ability to work late or on weekends may be required.
