Rohadfox is seeking a qualified Construction Inspector for our client located in West Los Angeles, CA. The Construction Inspector will support our Client's construction inspection and work as a member of Quality Assurance & Construction Inspection Division across multiple projects within our Clients Tenant Improvement Program primarily focusing on building disciplines. Pay range begins at $ 69.67/hr (plus) DOE. Typical work Day/Time is Mon-Fri-6am-2:30pm* or 5am-1:30pm
* Flexibility to work all shift s including nights, weekends, and varied schedules as required by active airfield construction project demands and operational windows.
Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a minimum of ๏ฌve years of experience performing inspection
- Candidate must demonstrate a clear understanding and interpretation of LA City Building Code & ADA Requirements
- Successfully hired candidates must be able to pass a background check and possess a SIDA badge prior to o๏ฌcial start.
- Candidates must have the ability to walk extremely long distances during the shift as this is the primary means of traversing between expansive terminals.
- Candidate must be able to climb stairs, ladders, sca๏ฌold, and crawl into areas associated with the work taking place in the terminals.
- Candidate must be able to work the day, swing, modi๏ฌed, or night shifts, including weekends as dictated by the contractorโs schedule
- Training in the use of fall protection equipment and harness with lanyard
- Con๏ฌned space awareness certi๏ฌcation
- Cal OSHA 30 hr. training and certi๏ฌcate
- NFPA 70E certi๏ฌcation required for electrical inspectors.
Preferred Quali๏ฌcations and Experience:
- ICC certi๏ฌcations and Deputy Inspector Licenses are preferred but not required.
- Inspectors with good knowledge and ability to inspect large scale construction of airport and public building facilities, which may include steel and concrete structures, architectural ๏ฌnishes and components, and other construction related to the airport terminal operations to ensure conformance with safety regulations, plans, speci๏ฌcations, and other applicable
- Possess good knowledge of LA City Building codes and ADA requirements. Experience in but not limited to inspecting demolition and the construction of buildings from start to ๏ฌnish.
- Expertise in identifying and addressing de๏ฌciencies, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet the required standards.
- A strong understanding of diverse requirements.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
Hardware/Software Knowledge
Computer Proficiency - Utilize electronic equipment to review project plans and contract documents including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Working and operational knowledge of Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) used for inspection reporting and document control. Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Pro, PM Web, Bluebeam, Pro Core, etc..
The ability to write clear and concise documents depicting daily progress of the work may be assigned to a program where the inspector prepares monthly progress payment request, tracks various changes, veri๏ฌes time and material work, measure, and documents job quantities.
Education/Training
High school diploma (or equivalent)
5 years or more of experience performing inspection

May be required to work various shifts, including day, swing, and night.
Shall be open to work modi๏ฌed schedules, including nights and weekends, as dictated by the contractors' work activities and accelerated project schedules.
Availability to work overtime as required to meet project deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks is preferred.
