Job description

Make a Meaningful Impact Every DayAre you passionate about patient care and safety? Meritus Health is seeking dedicated Clinical Observers to join our Nursing Services team. In this vital role, you’ll provide one-to-one observation and support for patients, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment while assisting with daily living activities.What You’ll Do
  • Provide constant observation and personal care for patients requiring one-to-one support
  • Assist with daily living needs: bathing, oral care, mobility, nutrition, and elimination
  • Document patient interactions and observations accurately
  • Identify and report behavioral changes or safety concerns to nursing staff
  • Maintain a hazard-free patient environment and follow safety protocols during transport
  • Support nursing assistants and serve as a preceptor for new team members
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to sit in quiet observation of patient for long periods of time without distraction.
  • Experience in customer service or team-based environments a plus
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient safety
Physical & Mental RequirementsThis role involves frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.), as well as continuous mental focus and communication. You’ll also work in conditions that may involve exposure to blood and body fluids.Caring for Our Team
