Job description

Job Title: Wire Harness AssemblerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Wire Harness Assembler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will bind wires or cables to form wire harnesses used in electronic and electrical systems and equipment. You will read electrical wiring plans and tie wires together according to specifications using cable ties, cable lacing, electrical conduit, and sleeves.

Responsibilities
  • Follow safety standards and policies.
  • Wear personal protective clothing.
  • Learn how to read drawings and schematics.
  • Operate a computer.
  • Follow step-by-step assembly procedures.
  • Meet production expectations.
  • Participate in the Lean Program (5S Program).
Essential Skills
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Electrical helper or mechanical skill set.
  • Hand tools and power tools experience.
  • Assembly experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with crimping and small wiring is advantageous.
  • Ability to follow work instructions from a screen.
  • Bi-lingual abilities.
  • Punctuality and good attendance.
  • Ability to work independently, ethically, and conscientiously.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and organized, with normal shifts starting at 4 am and lasting 8-12 hours per day, with some overtime on weekends. You will work in a workstation setting and must be able to use a touchscreen. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
