  • Meet project deadlines while managing multiple assignments simultaneously

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to clarify design intent and resolve discrepancies

  • Maintain and re-supply large-format printers (plotters)

  • Participate in required training related to CAD tools, processes, and industry standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department objectives

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2018 or newer preferred)

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies

  • Motivated self-starter.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required

  • Minimum of 1 year of CAD drafting experience, required

  • Experience with fire alarm, fire suppression, or life safety system drafting, preferred

  • Experience with REVIT and 3D modeling, preferred

  • CAD certification or related coursework, preferred

  • Experience preparing permit or as-built drawings, preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid schedule with required on-site work in the Louisville office three (3) days per week

  • Opportunity to work remotely up to two (2) days per week based on business needs and manager approval

  • Standard business hours, Monday through Friday

  • Primarily office-based role with extended periods of computer work

  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or stooping

  • Ability to lift and carry light to moderate office materials as needed
