Job description

Job Purpose:

The Programmer/Technical Support role creates technical drawings and CNC programs using EDGE, Creo, and SOLIDWORKS CAD/CAM software. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical blueprints, entering design specifications, adjusting machine cutting paths, and performing quality checks on first-piece and finished products. The position requires knowledge of G-code, M-code, and MAZATROL, including post-process editing. Additional duties include creating, maintaining, and updating files using Microsoft Office, performing routine machine maintenance, and troubleshooting issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Provide support for all shifts in their efforts to ensure the Machine Shop is running efficiently and according to quality standards.
  • Validation of new parts, fixtures, and jigs for all manufacturing.
  • Assist in training set-up and all machine personnel as needed.
  • Assist in determining root cause and corrective action analysis to NCMR’s, and other duties as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot machining related issues (tool, manufacturing process, or mechanical).
  • Excellent working knowledge of geometric tolerance and dimensioning.
  • Uses inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, to validate tolerances.
  • Willing and able to perform any function of the cell, including, but not limited to Programs, sets ups and operates the CNC equipment, deburring, electronic responsibility related to their position.
  • Update programs to better efficiency, (Poka-Yoke) and revision changes.
  • Assist in quoting cycle times, material, tooling, and custom fixtures.
  • Identify and Exploit opportunities to increase total production output.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • proficient on EDGECAM,CREO,SOLID WORKS.
  • 3-5 years hands on experience (Preferable on HAAS and MAZAK machines).
  • Individuals should have excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Provide solutions to problems within a timely manner.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English proficiently
  • Effective communication skills preferred
