Job description

STAR 2282 TBD - No LCAT Specified Position Requires ACTIVE TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph No Level Required McLean The maximum number of FTEs is one (1). Actual FTE bid, labor category, and skill level is at the discretion of the Contractor. INTRODUCTION: The Sponsor is seeking support for a joint Department of Homeland Security initiative.

This program is comprised of frontend, backend, and DevOps operations that includes development of new system capabilities; extension and maintenance of bulk data pipeline; and enhancements for the program's application hosted on multiple platforms including the Sponsor's cloud computing environment. WORK REQUIREMENTS: The core hours for all positions not otherwise identified shall be 9:00AM - 3:00PM. Weekend or after-hours support may be required for operational issues, deployments and critical activities.

The Contractor shall design and develop complex new software products and make significant enhancements to existing software. The Contractor shall provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. The contractor shall troubleshoot complex problems and provide customer support for software systems and application issues.

The Contractor shall collaborate cross-functionality with data engineers, analysts, project managers, and other personnel. The Contractor shall provide recommendations for continuous improvement in an Agile environment. 1.

Demonstrated experience in Linux server administration and web application support. 2. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Java and Angular.

3. Demonstrated experience in operations including using Git, Jenkins, Rundeck,Jira and Confluence. 4.

Demonstrated writing short Python and Bash scripts. 5. Demonstrated experience with AWS Cloud solutions.

6. Demonstrated experience with MySQL system administration and script development. 7.

Demonstrated experience in Elasticsearch administration and script development. 8. Demonstrating experience writing technical documentation for security (ATO), architecture, and implementation guides.

9. Demonstrated experience with the concepts of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) demonstrated experience applying them to a successful and established program. 1.

Demonstrated experience supporting the technical processing of vetting requests for analytical comparison against the Sponsor's holdings. 2. Demonstrated experience with computer processing platforms such as computers, mobile, or I.O.T.

and using that knowledge in a clustered computing environment. 3. Demonstrated experience with application and infrastructure support to an organization's screening and vetting mission.

4. Demonstrated experience in micro service architecture using Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Tomcat, AWS, Docker Container or Kubernetes solutions. 5.

Demonstrated experience in big data solutions (Hadoop Ecosystem, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, DataStax, etc.) in support of a screening and vetting mission.
