Certified Crane Operator
Role Description:
Traffic Management Solutions is looking for a certified Crane Operator to help our growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Operate crane to lift, move, position and place equipment or materials.
- Read and interpret plans or designs to understand the requirements of the job.
- Assist in the planning and development of pick plans for site specific operations.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refuel equipment.
- Safely operate a crane while maintaining communication with the ground crew for safe and efficient rigging and unrigging
- Understanding the crane's load chart, notes and warnings and being able to calculate or determine the crane's actual net capacity for all possible configurations of the machine
- Competent in completing all necessary pre-job paperwork as well as logbook following the completion of the job
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Crane Operators Certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating a crane
- Must hold a valid class one driver's license
- Must understand the functions and limitations of the crane
- Have the ability to solve problems and handle high-stress situations in a professional manner
- Oversee the crane's general condition and notify management when maintenance is required
- Staying alert and maintaining a high level of concentration
- Ability to assess situations and identify potential hazards
Working Environment:
Work is performed in primarily outdoor environments with constant exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and temperature extremes
