STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is seeking motivated earlycareer engineers to join our nationwide assessment and repair engineering division. Opportunities are available in our Chicago, Columbia, and Houston offices, with remote options in the Charlotte or Chattanooga areas for qualified candidates.   • Gain exposure to structural failure mechanisms;

  • Decide when repair vs. replacement is appropriate;
  • Design repairs that must be constructible, durable, and safe in live Nuclear or industrial facilities
  • Work side by side with construction teams-not just hand off drawings.

Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Education, Certification, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam is mandatory
  • Professional registration is preferred
  • 3 - 6 years of experience

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of how structures behave
  • Working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis software such as SAP2000, RISA3D, or STAAD
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting/BIM software

Soft Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity for solving problems and understanding how things work
  • Excellent documentation and organizational abilities

Field Work

  • Ability to travel and work in the field, both locally and outside the local area
  • Capability to enter secure facilities (e.g., Nuclear and Industrial plants).
  • Strong focus on working safely in a variety of challenging environments
