The Kids Minister oversees the Kids ministry, birth through 5th grade. They will lead a team of dream teamers that execute the weekend experience and manage the implementation of systems that create a safe, fun, and life-changing ministry for kids, parents, and dream teamers. They will work with a campus team to achieve the goals of BattleCreek Church while also being responsible for the specific goals related to the BattleCreek Kids ministry.
Your Day-to-Day
Every day looks different, but here's a snapshot of what you'll be up to:
  • Recruit, develop, and empower dream teamers so they are operating in their strengths and accomplishing the mission of BattleCreek Kids.
  • Provide a high level of execution that ensures success of the BattleCreek Kids weekend experience and ministry specific operations/events.
  • Build strong relationships and minister to parents, kids, and dream teamers.
  • Create a partnership with parents to bridge what happens on the weekends with what happens at home.
  • Create a fun presence of BattleCreek Kids in the local community.
  • Define and effectively manage the annual ministry-specific budget.
  • Perform other church duties as assigned by the Campus Pastor to help all people of all ages all the time advance in their journey with Christ

What We're Looking For
The must-haves for this role:
  • Education & Experience: We are looking for someone with Bachelor's Degree (but it is not required) and 1 year of experience in ministry and working with kids from birth to 5th grade. Having ministry experience in a multi-site environment is an added plus!
