Company Description

The Social Media Specialist exists to serve CCV NextGen (Kids and Students), Stars and Missions via strategic content that grows audiences, promotes events, and leads people further in their faith. Channels of emphasis include Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The Specialist works alongside Social Strategist to bring to life compelling visual and written content that engages with new communities. The Specialist role is part of a larger Marketing and Communications Team that services all ministries of CCV, and which is ultimately responsible for amplifying the voice and presentation of the church to the Valley at large. 

Job Description

Essential Job Functions  

  • Oversee ministry calendars to anticipate and equip upcoming events and initiatives 
  • Facebook, IG, TikTok, YouTube planning, execution and analysis 
  • Develop PESO tactics to amplify church happenings (Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned channels) 
  • Delegation and project management of self (Monday.com) and of creative teams 
  • Copywriting, content capture (photo and video), edits and graphic design  
  • Create weekend graphics to support the sermon and takeaways from the message 
  • Flexibility and innovation within a nimble team  
  • Leadership and ability to coach volunteers on marketing executions  
  • Community management, post scheduling and conflict resolution 
  • Live event and behind-the-scenes storytelling 
Qualifications

Character & Chemistry

  • Must be – or willing to become – a participating member of CCV 
  • Regularly attends worship services with their family 
  • Is an active participant in a neighborhood group, a transformation group and is a regular tither 

Competency 

  • Creative Skills – proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, and graphic design. Ability to innovate social media video series, trends, and effectively communicate information.  
  • Interpersonal Skills – relates well to all kinds of people and builds effective relationships, communicates effectively both interpersonally and corporately. 
  • Leadership Skills – the ability to build an effective team, continually communicate vision and purpose effectively, the ability to steadfastly push self and others to produce results.

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field preferred 
  • 2+ years in a related Ministry/Non-Profit or Cause-Based Organization preferred
