Job description

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with Elmhurst Hospital Center, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, is seeking a full time Adult Psychiatrist to join its Adult Inpatient and Outpatient Divisions and a Psychiatrist to join its CPEP Division working a full time schedule made up of evenings, weekends and overnights (flexible hours-8, 10, 12 or 16 hour shifts). Outpatient psychiatrists have the option to work 2 days a week remotely.

Elmhurst Hospital Center's Psychiatry Department serves a multi-cultural population of adults, children and families. We offer a full spectrum of services including Adult/Child Inpatient services with a Psychiatric ICU, Co-Occurring Disorders Unit and Women's Forensic Unit; a high volume CPEP; Mobile Crisis Team; Adult and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Programs; Ambulatory Adult and Child programs; Chemical Dependency; ECT and TMS; and Home Based Services. The Department collaborates with numerous schools in providing training programs in the areas of psychology, nursing and medicine.
