We are seeking an experienced Charter Boat Captain to lead day trips, ensuring safe and enjoyable maritime experiences. The captain will be responsible for operating the vessel, managing a small crew, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards while interacting professionally with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the vessel safely during day trips
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
  • Navigate using maritime navigation principles and tools
  • Interact professionally and courteously with customers
  • Perform regular equipment maintenance and inspections
  • Lead and manage a small crew effectively
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and unforeseen situations
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of voyages

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in maritime navigation
  • Current USCG Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)
  • Strong skills in vessel operation and safety management
  • Ability to interpret weather conditions accurately
  • Proven leadership and communication abilities
