Position Title: Plant Integration Engineer - Steam and Power Systems Integration
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Plant Integration Engineer - Steam and Power Systems Integration opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provides integration and oversight to geographically diverse team members to develop energy island system deliverables.
  • Support development of molten salt heat transfer, thermal energy storage, steam, power, and auxiliary system components in the plant 3D model for systems for which candidate has oversight responsibility.
  • Works closely with Company partners or Architect/Engineer firm(s) to establish and control interfaces to interfacing systems and structures.
  • Supports interface with other plant design departments, including plant 3D model development and plant integrated analysis.

Job Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate will display leadership skills by proactively driving cross functional design collaboration and integration of Energy Island systems, structures, and components.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience in nuclear power plant or commercial power plant design or modifications or adjacent process industries (oil and gas, refining, chemicals), with emphasis on systems and equipment for power generation and/or process fluid systems.
  • The candidate must be team oriented, and able to work effectively with geographically distributed and possibly international design team members.
  • Candidate should have broad based technical and engineering skills and experience leading an integrated cross functional design team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to convey critical design integration information to senior management, the engineering team, customers etc.
  • Ability to work in a conceptual design and first of a kind environment that require the ability to use good engineering judgement and identify needed design progress to achieve key project objectives.
  • Experience working to quality standards on design activities, such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001.
  • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, able to communicate openly, and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
