CDL Class B Driver

Location: Columbus, OH

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Pay Rate: Up to $25.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Class B Driver to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In thisrole, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles, transporting residential andcommercial waste, and ensuring compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations andcompany safety standards.

This position requires individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, navigatingresidential neighborhoods, commercial areas, high-traffic conditions, and tight driving spaces whilemaintaining a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles in residential, commercial, and high-traffic environments.

Collect, transport, and handle residential and commercial waste in accordance with companyprocedures and safety guidelines.

Travel between office locations and job sites as needed to support daily operations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.

Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.

Maintain accurate records and required documentation related to vehicle operation.

Operate vehicles safely in varying weather and road conditions.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members.

Support operational needs by working flexible schedules, including overtime, evenings, weekends,and holidays when required.

Required Qualifications

Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Valid DOT Medical Certification or the ability to obtain one before the start date.

Must be at least 19 years of age.

Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Clean driving record with:

No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.

No disqualifying DUI, OVI, or major driving offenses.

Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Work Schedule

1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Overtime may be required based on business needs.

Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Travel Requirements

Daily travel between office locations and job sites to support operations.

Compensation

Up to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
