Job Description
Allied Universal® is hiring a Data Center Security Professional - Unarmed. The Data Center Security Professional will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols (interior and/or exterior) within a data center environment. Additional responsibilities include controlling access and egress; monitoring CCTV and alarm systems; composing detailed reports; deterring criminal activity and misconduct; and performing duties in accordance with site-specific post orders. Security Professionals are trained to work all posts at the assigned location and must be available to work all shifts in a 24/7 operational environment. As the first and last point of contact for employees, contractors, and visitors, qualified candidates must demonstrate exceptional professionalism, customer service, and communication skills.
$23.00 per hour
FT: Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform interior and exterior security patrols on foot and/or in a vehicle throughout the data center campus
  • Control access to the facility by verifying credentials and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas
  • Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and other security technology to identify and respond to potential security threats
  • Investigate security incidents, suspicious activity, and policy violations; prepare accurate and detailed incident reports
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and other incidents in accordance with established procedures
  • Deter criminal activity, misconduct, and unauthorized access through a visible security presence
  • Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify safety hazards or security concerns
  • Maintain awareness of site-specific procedures and perform all duties outlined in post orders
  • Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors
  • Communicate effectively with site leadership, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management when necessary
  • Support a safe, secure, and professional environment at all times
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current driver's license if operating a company- or customer-owned vehicle
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by state law
  • Ability to work any shift in a 24/7 operational environment, including weekends and holidays
  • Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable work experience in customer service, security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergency situations
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills
  • Ability to write clear, accurate, and detailed reports
  • Ability to operate computers, CCTV systems, radios, telephones, and other security equipment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
  • Previous experience in a data center, critical infrastructure, or other high-security environment
  • Current CPR, First Aid, or AED certification
  • Experience with access control systems, badge management, and security operations centers (SOC)
  • Military, law enforcement, or corrections experience
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or a related field
  • Experience working in a customer-facing professional environment
