Service One Transportation is now hiring skilled CDL Drivers for our local shuttle business. There are both full time and part-time positions available for day and night shifts. Driving for this operation takes place entirely in the Sheboygan area and works a family friendly 2-2-3 schedule and has the bonus of no days spent over the road away from your family.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions):

  • Operate state-of-the-art truck in safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, at customer locations, and in yard area.
  • Drive tractor-trailer combination, applying knowledge of commercial driver regulations to transport and deliver products or materials.
  • Maneuver truck safely into loading or unloading position.
  • Read bill of lading and obtain customer’s signature.
  • Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines.
  • Secure cargo for transport using, straps, load bars, load locks.
  • Support and participate in safety meetings and activities.
  • Keep vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Minimum 22 years of age.
  • CDL Class A.
  • Verifiable 6 months CDL A Driving Experience
  • Complete employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements/demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a
Truck Driver to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Job requires, climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, sitting/driving, and shifting gears.
  • Able to climb in and out truck 3-4 steps (elevated 4+ feet into cab), multiple times during the workday.
  • Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
  • May require sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth and the ability to focus.
  • Must be able to lift hood of truck unassisted; with a hood pull force of 30 pounds on an on-going daily basis.
