Job description

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Shuttle Truck Driver to deliver parts and equipment to other Ziegler branches and parts drops on assigned routes to take care of our customers. We are looking for a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic to help support our growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a clean and safe driving record
  • Uses electronic log books
  • Follows package tracking procedures when unloading and transferring cargo to ensure accuracy
  • Works in a cooperative manner with team and superiors
  • Has positive attitude and desire to work as a team player
  • Delivers parts into the proper drop boxes in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Loads, unloads, and secures cargo
  • Lifts heavy equipment
  • Completes Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Clean driving record
  • Class A CDL or willingness to obtain one within a defined period of time
  • Obtain a DOT medical certification card
  • Pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen & physical
  • Hazmat endorsement (either currently possess one or able to obtain one)
  • Safe driving record
  • 1+ year related experience
  • Able to lift heavy equipment (see physical requirements below)
  • Able to keep vehicle in clean and proper working order
  • Highly motivated and hard worker
  • Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player
  • Able to work required shift

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Push/pull up to 10 lbs
  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs
  • Lift bulky objects
  • Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping - able to use bolt box.
  • Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 to $34.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
